Hi I’m Isabelle (with an e) and welcome to my amazing state-of-the-art newsletter! Here you’ll get to know me and find everything I’m working on, things I find cool plus the occasional shower thoughts. Because who doesn’t want to tell the world about them?
Ok, let’s do this. Happy new year everyone and welcome to the second edition of my monthly newsletter! After the long haul to winter break, I was finally able to relax and reflect on everything that’s happened in 2020. For me, December was about growth (nope, still not getting taller) but to sum it up, here’s what I learned this month.
Re-assess and Re-evaluate🤔
A massive part of exponential growth is recognizing what is and isn’t working. Life happens and things change, which means you change. Going from school-mode to ‘I suddenly have all this time’ mode, I found that small tasks would take big chunks of time and I wasn’t getting things done efficiently. But, re-assessing my own abilities and finding out what worked vs. what didn’t work, helped to optimize my time and get things done. In order to find the sweet spot between what’s too easy and what’s impossible you need to constantly re-evaluate which doesn't happen overnight. But you get closer as you re-assess and re-evaluate.
Consistency✅
At the beginning of the month, I would overload my to-do list and only get 1 or 2 done. This left me with a lot of self-doubts and making a vision of myself that was working and getting things done 100% of the time, no breaks. I began to foster a commitment to the prior goals I set for myself and prioritizing the quality of those goals rather than the number of goals I complete. Consistency develops momentum and accumulates into huge achievements over time.
Define your fears📣
Earlier this month I listened to a TED talk that inspired me to define my own fears. The reason why I wasn’t getting things done, was from fear of wasting my time and fear of other people’s opinions. I realized that sometimes your fears are all ‘intimidation factor’ and need to be faced in order to unlock your potential. Click the magic portal to see for yourself!

Continue to re-assess and strive for consistency
And that was the last month of 2020! I’ll see everyone in the new year! Looking for more? Make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already, or connect with me on Linkedin. See you next time😁
